Twin Sails Brewing – A Brewers Row Brewery
Micro Brewery
Suggested Beers to try at Twin Sails Brewing.
Pale Ale - American
Dat Juice is an unfiltered pale ale brewed with large amounts of flaked and malted wheat then heavily hopped with 100% Citra hops. It pours a cloudy pale straw colour with bright aromatics of grapefruit, pineapple and mango.
Stout - Milk / Sweet
A Horchata style Milk Stout brewed with a variety of roasted malts and coffee. It pours very dark black with a thick creamy mocha head. The oats and lactose provide a silky rich mouthfeel, which is balanced with strong aromatics of coffee. The beer is conditioned on cinnamon and vanilla beans, which provide a unique spice character that pairs perfectly with the strong coffee & chocolate flavours of the stout.
Wheat Beer - Other
This beer started as a traditional American style wheat ale, packed with flaked and malted wheat. We selected a yeast strain with a lower ester profile than its traditional European cousins. We then loaded it full with raspberries until the lid blew off. This beer is teeming with raspberries, backed up by a creamy mouthfeel and light crisp malt profile.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Juice Plus is the amplified version of Dat Juice. It is brewed with huge amounts of flaked and malted wheat with several big additions of Citra hops.
IPA - American
Slam Dank is our first venture into the dank side of IPAs. It is double dry hopped with large amounts of Mosaic, Columbus and Apollo. The light biscuity grain profile allows the dank, hop aroma to be fully showcased in this beer. Expect big resinous, earthy, marijauna like aromas to be dominant with a hint of
candied tropical fruit on the palate to balance it out.
IPA - New England / Hazy
High Socks - 100% Mosaic IPA is another one of our single hopped NE style hazy IPAs. This time we used Mosaic, one of our favourite hops. You'll get big notes of Pineapple and candied tropical fruit followed by some slight resinous, dank flavours. We kept the body big to hold up to the huge flavours of the Mosaic hop and for a beer that clocks in at 7% ABV, it is incredibly crushable.
IPA - American
A crisp clean malt bill sets the stage for Simcoe, Chinook, and Cascade hops to shine. Expect big flavours of citrus, resinous pine and tropical fruit backed by an assertive snappy bitterness. Dry on the palate, yet displaying a full and rounded mouthfeel, this beer showcases a different side of IPA for us.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Single Whammy is brewed with Australian hops, Galaxy and Vic Secret. Expect huge tropical fruit and citrus notes upfront, balanced by a slightly dank finish.
IPA - Imperial / Double
Space Armadillo is a Double IPA brewed with Sacc-Trois yeast and heavily dry-hopped with Galaxy and Amarillo hops. It pours a hazy blond colour with heavy notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Some Brett-like fruit flavours blend with the hops to add complexity and juiciness.
IPA - American
An experimental IPA brewed with acidified malt which adds a slightly tart acidity and sea salt to give it a complex flavour profile that is both balanced and refreshing. It was then triple dry hopped with Citra, Lemon Drop and Motueka hops giving it a big citrusy hop punch that reminds you that that beer you're crushing is actually an IPA.
IPA - Imperial / Double
We used our favourite hop combo on this one, Citra, Mosaic, & Simcoe in a mixture of both pellets and lupulin powder. Two massive dry hops give this beer a huge hop forward aroma and flavour with big notes of citrus, pineapple, mango and a little bit of dank.
Pale Ale - American
Day-Blink is an unfiltered, 100% Simcoe hopped American style Pale Ale. It pours a hazy, golden colour with a bright white head. The Simcoe hops provide strong aromatic flavours of peach & apricot with hints of tropical fruit and a slight resinous undertone.
IPA - New England / Hazy
An East Coast style beer brought to the West Coast, this is a beer with tons of flavour and even more balance. The bitter hop flavours are balanced by the sweet fruit, the acidic fruit is balanced with the lactose sugar additions and the alcohol is balanced by the high final gravity. This beer is the perfect balance in every aspect that you can judge a beer.
IPA - Imperial / Double
Citra Double IPA
IPA - Imperial / Double
Twin Sails doesn't throw around the term "double dry-hopped" a lot. But this one is no joke.
Pilsner - Other
A pale golden lager with a light body and clean finish. Twin Sails Pilsner is brewed with 100% German pilsner malt; and has a pleasant light grain profile with a crisp finish. Our Pilsner is generously hopped with a combination of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops, giving it a mild spice flavour that adds to its drinkability.
IPA - Imperial / Double
A collaboration with our friends at Boombox Brewing, this DIPA is packed with flavour. A NE style double IPA that's about as hazy as it gets. We put 500lbs of Blood Orange puree and 2L of Blood Orange zest into this batch along with three huge hop additions of Citra, Amarillo and Azacca hops. Expect tons of orange peel on the nose followed by big citrusy hop flavours on the palate.
Pale Ale - American
Lush Crush is a Pale Ale brewed with 60% malted oats. Clocking in at 3.8% ABV, this beer is definitely not short of body. The oats give this beer a silky mouthfeel while a generous hopping of Citra and Apollo provide a complex hop aroma & flavour reminiscent of a big IPA.
Pale Ale - American
Fruity & Refreshing Pale Ale, brewed with Kviek yeast, peach and passion fruit puree.
IPA - Imperial / Double
Double Milkshake IPA with Pineapple & Coconut.
Over 400lbs of pineapple purée was added to this beer along with almost 50lbs of toasted coconut. It was then hopped with Citra, Amarillo and Motueka; this beer is straight Piña Colada in a glass.
Pale Ale - American
Sacch Trois Pale Ale hopped with Vic Secret and Enigma.
