IPA - American
The 90’s called: they want their IPA back. Step back in time with this classically LARGE West Coast IPA with HUGE notes of dank pine, citrus & candied fruit, followed by an assertively BIG AND BOLD IPA bitterness, as it should be.
Stout - American
Coffee, chocolate and perfect dry American Stout.
Sour - Fruited Gose
We took a lightly sour gose-style and dazzled it up with hits of tart apricot, peach and a pinch of salt to keep it crushable.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
This beer is light gold in colour with a slight haze and a fluffy white head that dissipates slowly. The addition of Japanese rice imparts a lightly sweet and grainy character to the beer while the Motueka hops bring out citrusy flavours of lemon, lime and tropical fruit. Notes of black pepper and clove shine throughout, creating a refreshingly dry Saison with a moderate bitterness perfect for warm weather adventures or pairing with light and fresh dishes.
IPA - New England / Hazy
This one's "juuuusssst a bit outside" the norm as we skipped the big doses of Citra hops and went instead for a combination of Sultana, Galaxy and Azacca to create a punchy, tropical pineapple-mango flavour profile in an ultra-thick hazy body.
Fruit Beer
Pogo Ball is a refreshingly bright purple blueberry ale hopped with Magnum to give it a big citrus bounce and then smoothed out with vanilla and blueberry for a light and fruity finish.
Fruit Beer
Cherry Berry Fruit Beer
IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale
A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a beer that does not exist. Knight Rider is on a crusade to unite the flavours of dark chocolate, espresso and resinous pine in a Black IPA that operates above the law.
Brown Ale - Other
The days are short, the nights are cold, and you need a little something extra to keep those legs warm. Well look no further, we have just the answer: LEG WARMERS! This exciting new palate-workout starts with marshmallow-soft notes of Ghanain Chocolate, works into a toasty, boozy-warm centre and finishes with a hint of heat on the back of your tongue from a splash of vodka-soaked Mexican Chillies.
Special Notes: The Ghanaian Cacao was added post-fermentation and let sit warm for two nights. A proprietary mix of Ancho, Arbol, Guajillo, Habanero, Cascavel & Mirabel Mexican Chilies were soaked in Vodka for several weeks before being added to the fermenter once the beer had cooled. The beer was then aged for two-and-a-half months in steel.
IPA - American
This one's gonna spin your head around a bit... because it's an American West Coast style IPA but made with 100% Vienna Malt, creating some bready and biscuity notes while maintaining a classic citrus/pine flavour profile.
IPA - American
Light and Dry with a gentle touch of honey and cracker sweetness. An assertive bite of grapefruit and citrus with a resinous pine aroma. Hops: Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, and Columbus.
Fruit Beer
Showcasing two Colombian fruits -- Guanabana and Lulo -- this ale highlights citrus, pineapple, and banana aromas in a tropical squeeze of paradise. Very light and spritzy and easy-drinking, it pours a cloudy golden yellow. Give 'er a squeeze!
Wheat Beer - Fruited
Keep your palate in shape with Razzercise, the wheat ale workout dancing with fresh raspberries, key lime citrus and a bright, tart finish.
Altbier - Traditional

Jellystone is brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and 2 new blends of Cryo hops that were created to target specific flavours and aromas during their interaction with yeast. It has an extremely pleasant, upfront aroma and tastes of raspberry, blueberry, honeydew melon, and sweet ripe fruit.
IPA - Imperial / Double
Double India Pale Ale. This time Citra.
IPA - Fruited
Superflux Beer Company was founded on the time honoured traditions of our craft. Our 7th Generation Brewmasters strictly adhere to the Bavarian Purity Laws of 1516, hand-selecting only the choicest malted barley, the finest hops, and the purest mountain spring wa… blah blah blah blah… we put coconut in an IPA and it’s delicious. Coconuts IPA is hazy, dry hopped heavily with Citra and Vic Secret, and finished on some sexy coconut.
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
Heavily dry-hopped with a blend of Mosaic and Nelson-Sauvin. Pours a hazy, pale yellow/orange colour with bright carbonation. We get pungent grapefruit, lime, and sauvignon blanc skin with a dry yet soft finish.
IPA - New Zealand
Airstream features a brand-new hop from New Zealand called Nectaron, which we flew over in Business Class according to the invoice. Nectaron imparts deep, ripe fruit mostly in the peach and grapefruit realms, at least in this beer. There’s this familiar ’old school’ IPA note on the palate that none of us can really put our finger on, maybe Simcoe hop notes, or, it might be that Nectaron is subtle enough to let a little bit of malt flavour come through (?what?). It also has a very juicy, long finish with a clean bitterness. A fun beer. You know, to enjoy, and have fun with.
IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy
Double IPA w/ Citra, Mosaic, Nelson & Galaxy.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Wonderlove is an IPA with Galaxy, Citra, Idaho 7 Cryo and Phantasm Powder. This IPA has notes of grapefruit, soft pineapple and passionfruit.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Feathergreen is fermented with a thiolized yeast strain and dry-hopped with Simcoe and Citra Cryo. It finishes slightly sweeter than some of our other IPAs and is really pleasant and round. A soft mouthfeel combines with notes of pine resin, grapefruit, and orange zest.
Sour - Other
Dry Hopped Sour w/ Citra & Galaxy.
IPA - American
“OHMS” is a 6.5% IPA dry hopped with Galaxy, Vic Secret and Citra Cryo.

Double India Pale Ale. This time Mosaic.

IPA - Imperial / Double
A Double IPA with Vic Secret, with flavours and aromas of pineapple skins, guava juice, and a herbaceous, sappy pine character.
IPA - Imperial / Double New England / Hazy

IPA - American
This IPA pushes the boundaries and delivers what you would expect. This aggressively hoped IPA awakens the senses with aromas of citrus, fruit, and pine but will bombard your taste buds (with hops, a subtle malt sweetness and notes of caramel) that will put a smile on your face.
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other
The aroma of a tropical breeze from a fresh mango grove leads into a light bodied blonde ale, finishing with a subtle mango sweetness that does not overpower the golden malt.
IPA - New England / Hazy
A monstrous blend of fruit-forward hops is balanced out with golden malt, wheat and oats. Forget the bitter aftertaste – this New England Style IPA is smooth, citrusy ray of tropical sunshine in an otherwise chaotic world.
Brown Ale - American
Fireside Flannel is a unique brown ale crafted with roasted malts and Yakima hops. Notes of roasted hazelnuts, coffee and light chocolate combine as the beer warms — and on a crisp fall day, there’s just enough alcohol to keep you warm as well. Pairs well with cheese platters and braised meats, along with desserts including ice cream and chocolate.
Stout - Milk / Sweet
Lift Bridge’s Warden Milk Stout clocks in at 4.1% ABV and pours a deep black with a thin, whitish-tan head that quickly dissipates. Aromas of coffee with hints of smoke greet the nose, and the beer’s flavors include a complementary combination of sweet and savory in the forms of chocolate and roasted malt. At 23 IBU, there’s a trace of earthy hop bitterness on the backend. The mouthfeel is silky smooth and the unfermentable sugar from the lactose leaves the sweetness on the palate that you’d expect from a milk stout.
Brown Ale - English
Mini-Donut Beer has a warm tan color, like the exterior of a mini donut. A malty base and natural flavors give this sweet sipper enough rich flavor without overwhelming the palate. Mini-Donut will be served in a glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar.
Brown Ale - American

Stout - Imperial / Double Milk
It is inspired by the delightful combination of whiskey, coffee, and cream. You don't have to be Irish and it doesn't have to be the morning to enjoy this labor of love. Our Russian Imperial Stout was aged in whiskey barrels, then blended with a big Milk Stout, and finally infused with locally roasted cold pressed coffee.

Märzen

Belgian Strong Dark Ale
We drew inspiration from Steve’s Grandmother’s holiday biscotti recipe to create this one of a kind brew. By utilizing an array of malts, oats, wheat, pure local honey, light European hops and delicately spicing with Grains of Paradise, Madagascar vanilla beans, whole star anise, all brought together with traditional Belgian yeast, the result is a cloudy, deep copper colored, complex experience. This delight to the senses should be served in a 12 ounce footed glass and allowed to warm to 50 degrees to fully gather the malt and spice spectrum.

IPA - New England / Hazy
A year's worth of experimental IPA’s lit a juicy path for us to follow, helping us develop the Neon Nectar. A bomb of tropical tangerine, pineapple, and mango. Both light and creamy.
Brown Ale - Imperial / Double
Toasty, chocolaty, nutty nose, with hints of vanilla. Flavour is hazelnut, amaretto, chocolate and caramel. Finishes rich and smooth.
Sour - Traditional Gose
Our Gose is soured with our own house strain of Lactobacillus Bacteria. That culture was made in the traditional method from Germany by soaking the pre-fermented beer on more grain. The Bacteria on the grain, under the right conditions, sour the beer, in a similar manner to the way yogurt is made.
Once the desired level of sourness is achieved, we bring it back to a boil, and treat it as a normal beer after that, adding a touch of hops and ferment as normal.
Gose, as a style, has touch of Salt and Coriander and is a great beer for adding fruit to. In this particular case we omitted the Coriander, and added Cardamon instead to compliment the Strawberry addition.
Porter - Smoked
Oak-smoked porter.

Ripe fruit flavours and bold Citra hops set the mood in this unfiltered ale.

A PNW style Sour Weisse brewed with North American Crystal hops and a blend of wheat and barley malt. We kettle soured for a tasty finish, which is further enhanced by the addition of passionfruit concentrate.
Expect passionfruit to dominate the aroma and flavour, with a lemony citrus note cutting through from the souring process and choice of hops. This brew is light-tasting, tart and refreshing!
Pumpkin / Yam Beer
Brewed under the watchful eye of our nosey and noisy Crow neighbours: we bring you something new to dip your beak into this pumpkin season! Hollow out this can to reveal a bright amber potion bewitched with aromas of toasted pumpkin pie crust, notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice to finish.

Pilsner - German
This Pilsner is, at its core, a German-Style Pilsner - Dry, Blonde and Hoppy - but don't use purely German hops. The Saaz side of the Sterling hops we (mostly) use bring the grassy/spicy, and the hit of Centennial adds some orange blossom. It's a pleasantly bitter Pilsner with a honey-veiled maltiness and a nice, dry palate. This makes it more of a West Coast Pilsner.

Lagered ale dry-hopped with citra and mosaic.

Brown Ale - English
A pint of your finest, kind sir! A refined, balanced ale for the discerning beer drinker. Raise your glass.
Rich malt flavours of caramel, toffee and light chocolate. This ale is an ode to the pub beers of England. Well balanced flavours of malts and hops make this beer a classic.
Pumpkin / Yam Beer
We’ve carved out a pumpkin Oktoberfest even Ichabod would love. This hearty, malty lager is warmed by the mighty pumpkin and lifted with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, all-spice and ginger.
Brewed as a traditional Oktoberfest Lager, this beer sets itself apart from other pumpkin ales by being light and refreshing. Pumpkin is used in the mash along with traditional pumpkin pie spicing in the brew kettle. A large portion of the grain used is Munich malt which gives a nice pie crust flavour to the beer.
Lager - IPL (India Pale Lager)
Don’t mind the flashes. This unique pale lager with big hop aroma and citrus kick tends to attract a lot of attention.
Inspired by the west coast IPAs, this pale gold lager is loaded with pacific west coast hops with a touch of crystal malt. This beer is fermented cool to keep the beer crisp and refreshing as well as dryhopped to increase the citrusy hop aroma.
Stout - Milk / Sweet
A North American take on a classic English style of beer. This beer is brewed as a smooth tasting stout and sweetened using milk sugar (lactose). The sweetness plays an integral part in balancing the roasted malts that give the beer it's dark colour.
Pale Ale - American
This light, refreshing pale ale offers a silky smooth mouth feel and strong peach, orange, and papaya hop aroma and flavour.
Pumpkin / Yam Beer
All treat, no trick: this rich, robust Chocolate Pumpkin Porter is so good, even the living dead will indulge.
The base of this beer is a robust porter that uses large amounts of chocolate malts to achieve a chocolaty flavour. Pumpkin is used in the mash along with traditional pumpkin pie spicing in the brew kettle. An English strain of yeast is used to give this beer a slightly fruity yeast derived flavour.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
A perfect Summer Saison that was blended with real Apricots and Lactobacillus culture. Crisp, dry and effervescent with a hint of apricot sweetness and a hit of tartness.
Sour - Other
Starting with a lacto base - wheat and pilsner malt, we punch up the flavours with aggressive dry hopping creating a tart wheat beer with flavours reminiscent of tropical fruit juice.

Belgian Strong Dark Ale
A Belgian-style dark strong ale that showcases notes of stone fruits and raisins. Dark amber in colour with a higher carbonation to keep the beer from feeling to heavy.
Pale Ale - American
A pale, refreshing and hoppy beer with supporting caramel malts that keep the beer balanced. The Northwest hops showcase flavours of oranges and grapefruits while the yeasts provide a juicy peach flavour during fermentation.
IPA - Imperial / Double
An Imperial IPA brewed with flaked rice in order to keep the body light in order to showcase the New Zealand Motueka hops. Pronounced tropical fruit flavours and aromas hide a big 9.3% ABV.
Sour - Other

Sour - Other
Co-fermented with ale yeast and lactobacillus plantarum for a clean profile and soft yet lemonade-like sourness. Aged on local hand-screened lavender flowers from Windward Lavender Farm in Chilliwack.
Nicely tart with a big lavender aroma and light lavender spiciness in the finish. Drinks like a lavender lemonade and soothes like aromatherapy.
IPA - American
Our Affable IPA is generously hopped late in the brewing process with American aroma hops that give it a piney, fruity, floral bouquet without imparting heavy bitterness. This beer is all about the nose - a light body and moderate bitterness allow the finishing and dry hops to shine through with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, and pine.
Brown Ale - English
Made in the spirit of a classic Northern English Brown Ale, where British hops and malts dominate. Notes of breadcrust, toffee, nuts, and coffee give way to a clean, lightly bitter finish.
Lager - Vienna
Robyn, who created our Vienna lager recipe, likes to pair this beer with bratwurst. Sho, another Moody Ales brewer, prefers it with carnitas. Makes sense—this style, originally developed in Vienna in the 1840s, lost popularity in Europe over the nineteenth century but thrived in Mexico with Austrian emigrant brewers. So, as you enjoy our malt-forward yet clean amber lager, remember that from Austria to Mexico to Canada, pork and beer unite us all.
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other
A very easy drinking blonde ale, true to the style.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Moody Ales is proud of our homebrewing roots - that's why we regularily serve beers inspired by local homebrew recipes in our tasting room. When local homebrewer Steve Sheldon shared his Lemon Matcha Saison with us, we knew we had to share it with as many beer lovers as we could. Intrepid Matcha Saison is the result of this collaboration. Crisp, refreshing, earthy, spicy, unique - this beer is a celebration of homebrewed creativity.
Pale Ale - American
A session beer with just enough of a citrusy hop bite to know you’re still on the West Coast, our Sociable Pale Ale hits all the right notes. It’s malty but light; it’s hoppy without the bitterness; and it pairs well with just about anything. It’s the beer equivalent of one of those people that gets along with everybody. Grab your friends and get Sociable!
Sour - Fruited Gose
Gose brewed with grapefruit peel
IPA - New England / Hazy
Hazy IPA. Cloudy and good.
Cream Ale
A twist on a traditional Cream Ale. Brewed with a hefty dose of Strawberry Puree, the right balance of vanilla bean and a pinch of lactose. Smooth, creamy and slightly tart, this cream ale really pack a berry blast.
IPA - New England / Hazy
This super topical IPA tastes like it’s been soaked in a sunset. Intensely juicy passionfruit, mango, and pineapple notes sway in the humid breeze, carrying a heady aroma of sugary guava, lime, and spice. Oats and wheat impart a velvety mouthfeel, perfectly balancing a refined finish.
Pale Ale - New England / Hazy
Hazy pale ale with notes of sun-ripened citrus & sugared peach.
This sessionable hazy pale ale is big on juicy aroma and mellow fruitiness. Notes of nectarine, apricot, and sugared peach open up to lucious honeydew melon and papaya. Centennial and Simcoe hops deliver an unassuming bitterness that imparts just enough bite to keep you coming back for another sip.
Bitter - Session / Ordinary
Caramelly & rich grain flavour with soft herbal hops.
Inspired by a classic English-style pale ale, this cask conditioned brew has rich notes of caramel and butterscotch. Maris Otter and Crystal 60 malts fold in layers of freshly baked bread and brûléed sugar. British Imperial Independence yeast imparts a unique fruitiness while Willamette and Amarillo hops bring out bright, citrusy aromas and wonderfully balanced bitterness.
IPA - American
Fruity IPA with jammy tangerine, marmalade & apricot notes.
Our take on a West Coast IPA turns the volume up on juicy flavour with fruit-forward hop varieties. A vivacious apricot aroma illuminates layers of jammy tangerine marmalade and ripe peaches. Notes of fragrant wood and dank hops deliver toned-down bitterness for a well-rounded, ever-so-piney finish.

IPA - Black / Cascadian Dark Ale
A dark take on the original IPA, KerryD Away is a refreshingly hoppy beer with citrusy, floral notes. A very deft hand added the subtle and intriguing hint of chipotle that give this brew a slow-building, warming finish.

Sour - Fruited
Passion Fruit and Pomegranate
IPA - Imperial / Double
During the heyday of the British Empire, India Pale Ale was born as a strong pale ale brewed especially to endure the rigors of the long journey to the colonies. In order to guard against spoilage, I.P.A. was brewed with a high alcohol content and with liberal amounts of hops, which act as a natural preservative. This ale's golden amber colour only hints at its full-bodied flavour. Its sumptuous maltiness is tempered by a goodly amount of bitterness and a mouth-filling hop flavour. In order to finish our I.P.A. with a truly fresh hop bouquet, we dry hop this ale in the serving tank with both East Kent Goldings and Mount Hood hops.
IPA - Session
A taste of Vancouver has landed. This India Session Ale packs all the bold hop flavour and aroma of an IPA in a deliciously drinkable package. Brewed and dry hopped with a trio of southern hemisphere hops, this juicy ISA offers tropical flavours of passionfruit, citrus and crushed gooseberry, balanced with a clean malt profile allowing the hops to shine through. Some call it sessionable, smashable, quaffable or approachable, we just call it the YVR ISA.
Porter - English
The first release in our illumination series, this Salted Chocolate Porter offers chocolate and vanilla aromas and a full body with rich chocolate flavours from a well-balanced combination of toasted and chocolate malts. While the addition of hand-harvested Pacific Ocean Fleur de Sel from Vancouver Island Salt Co. provides an intriguing flourish on the finish. It pours near black with a tan head and is a rich and robust brew sure to please classic porter lovers and adventurous imbibers alike.
Lager - IPL (India Pale Lager)
Stout - Oatmeal
If you’re no longer scared of the dark, then there’s no reason to be afraid of our stout. A generous portion of rolled oats and lots of black roasted barley give this beer a warm, roasted nose, and a distinct dryness that succumbs to waves of lingering satisfaction.
Stout - White / Golden
Steamworks White Stout takes the rich typical stout flavours and body imparted from oats and barley, but without the dark coloured, roasted malts traditionally used in a stout. Instead, these roasted notes come from first aging the beer with whole espresso beans from East Vancouver’s Pallet Coffee, and then with whole cacao beans from East Van Roasters. The result is a deliciously unexpected brew that pours light gold with a thick white head.
Belgian Tripel
Curl up closer to the steam pipes, and warm up to the festive season. This Winter Ale is an ode to Belgian Tripel. It shows apple, and citrus aromas, along with a toasted malt character.

The balance of bright citrus, fruity hops, and spice make this lively brew perfect for any summer day. Perfect for poolside chilling or more intrepid adventures.

The Siren of the Seas is a fickle creature: benevolent or spiteful, she can bestow a safe passage & a bountiful catch, or provoke storms & shipwrecks. Sailors have long cast gifts of flowers, food or trinkets into the sea in exchange for good fortune. Talisman – our delicately dry-hopped & golden-hued ale with its tropical & citrusy aroma – may be just the thing to encourage the Siren’s blessing.
IPA - White / Wheat
The Dragon embodies those things we fear, wound up in a mass of greed & destruction, while the valiant knight is our protector, fated to save us from ruin. Our Guardian IPA – with the spicy character of a Wit & the hops of an IPA – is inspired by this legendary battle between good & evil. So if you have a dragon to slay, make the act more enjoyable with this bold & flavourful beer.

Amid bursts of confetti & music, the Juggler entertains us with a handful of oranges. As the oranges rise & fall, the planets revolve in the universe, babies are born, & the old pass on. Jongleur – our silky bodied, spicy & aromatic Wit – infuses any moment with a spark of joy. A glass of this bright & refreshing beer reminds us of the juggler’s simple lesson: to take pleasure in both the big & the small things in life.

On the day the birds were created, the Peacock was bestowed with splendid plumage. Dissatisfied, he bagged for the sweet song of the Nightingale. Surely a beauty such as his deserved a voice to match? As penance for his vanity however, the Peacock was given a voice that would forever lament his lack of perfection.
Sip of this juicy & hoppy sour ale, reflect upon your gifts & be happy.

Dispatched each day at dawn, Odin’s two ravens fly the world over, bringing news from the land of men back to the Norse god by nightfall. What secrets do they gather as they spy from on high, or scavenge from the leavings of men?
Next time the black birds call outside your door, perhaps a glass of Blackmail milk stout – with its rich, round & slightly sweet character – will still their extortive tongues.
Pilsner - German
This is a classic German style Pilsner. Bright, clean, and fresh with a bracing and refreshing bitterness and the unmistakable herbal earthy character of the Noble Saaz hop.
Crossing paths with a crone is believed unlucky by some. Stooped and toothless, she’s a frightful specter of mortality. Those who can meet her gaze and see wisdom there have nothing to fear; but beware to those who scorn or overlook her. As Mother of Creation, she can wield her power in wicked ways, by nightmare, illness or a failed harvest. So next time you happen upon an old woman, pour her a glass of this bright and refreshing beer, look her in the eye, and toast to her good health.
Sour - Other
While a sour or tart beer might not be what you expect, it is something that can be a nice break from that which is expected. Our Roxanne Raspberry Sour Grisette starts with a quaffable table saison, which is then soured in the kettle, and then hammered with a few hundred pounds of black raspberries.
Belgian Dubbel
He was covered in fur from his head to his foot, the colour of midnight, the colour of soot. A bundle was squirming, slung over his back, & he looked like a thief, sneaking off with his sack. His eyes were like embers, glowing fierce in the night – I froze in the shadows to hide from his sight! A bundle of branches help tight in his fist, reminded me that this was no happy tryst. He had cloven hooved & a serpentine tail, my shameful behavior he was here to wassail. He was wickedly bad, an evil old devil, I cringed when I saw him, his whole being so dreadful. The glint in his eye & the nod of his head soon gave me to know I had plenty to dread.
Sour - Other Gose
This is our twist on a Gose, a traditional German sour and salty wheat beer style. It was brewed with a variety of botanicals often found in Gin, including Coriander, Juniper Berries, Black Limes and Grains of Paradise, giving it a distinct fruity, spicy and herbal character.
A dry and slightly salty finish make this beer extremely refreshing and a perfect way to keep cool on a summer afternoon.
IPA - American
Sweet sweet Mister Hip you've got to me, come drink throughout the day with me. Take one fresh & hoppy sip from a golden glass of this, where citrus, grapefruit, pine a-flourish. Memories are made of this... (Sung to the tune of Dean Martin's "Memories Are Made Of This")

Seeing your Doppelgänger is considered to be bad luck, even a harbinger of impending death. Of course they could be your long-lost twin, or merely one who bears a strange resemblance to you. More likely however, they are your evil twin from a parallel universe & intend to hijack your life. Beware – If they don’t cast a shadow or appear reflected in a mirror, then you know you’re in trouble. This beer with its fruity, bright character will reveal treacherous intentions.

For centuries the Celts and other ancient people burned effigies made of wicker as sacrifice to the gods. These Wickermen represented a link between the spirt world and the world of men; fire drew the two together. Our Wicker man IPA might bring you one step closer to the world of sprits but it doesn’t really matter. Brewed with 4 killer Yakima hop varieties: Columbus, Ekuanot, Amarillo, and Simco it’s earthy, spicy, and fruity all at once. The bitter pithy finish is backed up by a soft sweet malt character

In Chinese folklore the Moon Rabbit uses his mortar to grind spices for the elixir of life. We’ve ground a few of our own spices here and feel pretty good about our elixir and although it will unlikely extend your life, it tastes lovely. There once live a beetle in Egypt,
Though small, by the people was worshipped.
Rolled the sun out each day,
Carried on in this way,
Just so long as he never got flipped!
Beloved by the ancient Egyptians, the Scarab beetle was considered an earthly symbol of rebirth, his daily toils mirroring the sun’s eternal cycle. Unlike the scarab’s desert dwelling, this super-dry beer with its clean thirst-quenching character is ultra-refreshing & reviving
Porter - Other
Velvet was conditioned in Woodford Reserve bourbon barrels for one month to impart a subtle bourbon character. The vanilla notes from the oak complement rich chocolate and toffee flavours, giving way to a rich and smooth finish.
IPA - Triple
Beest is a West Coast style triple IPA. It's big, bold and packs a punch. It has been heavily dry hopped using Simcoe, Amarillo and Centennial. This combination of hops creates a dank, resinous and fruity aroma. Beest is brewed with a huge amount of grain bringing it to a whopping 10% alcohol. Up front flavours of ripe stone fruit and a bitter finish are rounded out with a sweetness to balance its high alcohol and big hop character. Don’t let the drinkability fool you, this Beest is dangerous.

It begins with a tentative peep, followed by a bolder croak. Slowly, inspired by their intrepid leader the others join in, waking from their icy stupor. And so begins the spring chorus, a sure tell sign that old man winter is making way for the ever so lovely spring. Just as the frogs rise from the dead, we too emerge from the chill to delight in the sun. Should you need any motivation, a sip of this bright, hop forward beer that’s brewed like a lager but hopped like an IPA, is sure to put a spring in your step.
IPA - Brut
This classic Brut IPA was barrel aged with a Brett D and Sac Trois yielding flavours reminiscent of pear and white grape. There is an almost creamy coconut like body along with a firm dry bitterness and a finish that brings to mind the oak barrels this IPA was aged in. Illusturm brings together all those things we love so much at Strange Fellows: unique "wild" yeast cultures, a solid Citra dry hop, and barrel aging. What could be more perfect for our 5th anniversary release?
Non-Alcoholic - Pale Ale

Dryhopped with some of the sexiest North West varieties, including Citra and Mosaic, you can expect to be greeted with aromas of tropical fruits and citrus. This award-winning German lager pairs bready maltiness with a crisp dry finish. Traditionally brewed for Oktoberfest, this Märzen is best enjoyed with sausages, oompah music, and (socially distanced) friends.
Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche
Orange - Chamomile - Vanilla //
Coriander and Orange Peel accentuate the orange-citrus and spicy flavours of this traditional Belgian yeast strain, while the addition of Chamomile lends a soft floral and vanilla-like sweetness. It's Always Sunny in East Van is brewed with unmalted wheat to provide a creamy and fluffy mouthfeel, while the effervescence creates a refreshing summer beverage.

Stout - Russian Imperial
As with most Imperial Stouts BIG roasty flavours of coffee & chocolate prevail with a little hint of licorice.
Ours has a lovely dry finish putting all those big flavours in harmony
IPA - American
You may or may not know that our brew system was from the legendary brew pub DIX.
Former brewmasters Derrick Franche & Tony Dewald put DIX on the map for its killer IPA.
If you can believe it 20+ years ago, IPA’s really were not that much of a thing here, in Vancouver. It took some big ole hoppy kahounas to brew a bold mega IPA.
We asked them if they would brew the IPA to the original DIX specs, on the original DIX system, here at Brassneck.
They agreed. The beer was awesome. So good in fact, we asked them to brew it every December, cause ya know what?? Traditions are a fine thing.
So, if you need a break from those new fangled, hazy, hoppy-not-hoppy, fruity petuity creations & you crave a little old school bitter blastin for your taste buds, look no further, what you need is a glass of DIX…
Pale Ale - American
A bright Pale Ale with a strong hop backbone. The ever so slightly sweet malt character plays second fiddle to the punchy hops. Somewhere between a pale & an IPA, Passive Aggressive has become our flagship.
Wild Ale - American
What’s this “Changeling” all about then?
Well, its kettle soured, like a Berlinerweisse. (We turn the “lactic acid dial” up a few notches on the base beer, so it’s nice & pucker).
Then, as the name would suggest, we change the fruit we ferment it with.
Pale Ale - American
Our most simple beer, yet the one we agonize over the most.
English malts combine with the classic Cascade hop to create, what we hope will be your favourite, fridge filling “Welcome Home” beer.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
We kidnapped a Saison, held it hostage for several months, letting it sit & condition on Brettanomyces. The more time passed the more it started to like us. It rewarded us by tasting delicious. Stockholm Syndrome can be a beautiful thing.
Pale Ale - American
The intention here was to recreate the quintessential, slightly butch American Pale Ale with that big piney nose only Centennial Hops can give you.
Kölsch
Built like a lager, but fermented with an ale yeast, our tried & true Kolsch is meant for quenching thirsts, not blowing minds.
Sour - Other
Lacto soured in the kettle (like a berlinerweisse) this was the second beer we tried this technique with.
Then we added Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand.
Zing! We ended up with a real pleasant tart little base beer backed up with some big gooseberry notes from the hops. The beer version of a Sauvignon Blanc if you will.
Pale Ale - American
Yeah, we know, we’ve got a few pale ales on the go but we really enjoy tweakin’ the recipes & messing around with different hops.
This guy does show similarities to the Passive Aggressive, but we dialed back the booze content with a lighter malt bill. It’s got lots of hop aroma & flavour coming from the Galaxy Hops (think orange citrus) but it’s not over bearing on the ol’ bitterness.
The Wingman has no intention of stealing the lime light from the Passive Aggressive & is guaranteed to have your back when you need it most.
Porter - English
Our Porter breaks the mold by being a little on the hoppier side. We use Bramling Cross hops, an English variety known for their subtle black currant notes.
The hops play nice with the roasted malt for a pronounced, lingering bitterness… if you like that sort of thing.
IPA - White / Wheat
Our interpretation of the White IPA.
Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt, Belgian Yeast, Secrets, Magic & rotating hops combine to create a lovely balance of flavours that seems to satisfy everybody from the hardest to please hop head to the not so fussy newbie.
Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche
We took another fairly straight forward style here & decided to Brassneck it up a tad by giving it a little twist.
Time to get nerdy boys & girls.
Ambiguation is built like a Belgian Wit except we give the beer a 100% Brettanomyces primary fermentation, then we add lacto for some acidity.
Lovely subtle citrus notes & just the right amount of twang make Ambiguity a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon….on Third Beach…. skinny dippin’ (as long as you have a brown bag or two handy).
IPA - Imperial / Double
One Trick Pony is a strong IPA brewed with Pilsner Malt & a rotating single hop.
We use pilsner malt, so that the malt presence provides a clean slate to showcase the hop variety.
At 9%, we encourage you to not underestimate this mild mannered beast.
Lager - Pale
This one of our faves.
Mostly because we rarely have the fermentation room to brew it because it takes 8-10 weeks.
It’s a simple, satisfying beer. The kind beer nerds don’t really understand.
“Why is my tongue not disintegrating under the intense power of the IBU’s?”
“Why is it so pale, I can like, see through it & stuff?!”
No Brainer, is, -ahem- well, its a no bloody brainer isn’t it!
If you’re thirsty, don’t pour yourself a glass of water, have one of these instead. We think you’ll enjoy the results.
Strong Ale - American
Seems that when most breweries make a coffee beer it’s Espresso Stout or Porter.
We wanted to try something a little different. We brewed a base beer deep amber in colour with natural malt sweetness & delicate fruit character. Instead of adding espresso, we “cold brewed” the coffee beans in the beer.
This gave us some wonderful acidity balanced with delicate fruit character rather than the big roasty flavours many of us are accustomed to tasting in other coffee beers.
The final result was a real tribute to the quality of the beans provided by Bows & Arrows Coffee Roasters in Victoria BC & the creativity of our Head Brewer.
**Magic Beans Batch 2 was made with beans from Anchored Coffee (Novia Scotia) & Cold Brew from our friends at Revolver Coffee in Vancouver.
***Magic Beans Batch 3 (first served January 29th, 2015) was made in collaboration with our friends Elysian Coffee.
****Magic Beans Batch 4 was made with Bows & Arrows Coffee Roasters.(So good we had to do it again)
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Farmhouse Ale with Kveik yeast.
Red Ale - American Amber / Red
Mr.Personality is another one from our “Meant to be Poundable so Shuddup And Drink” range.
Inspired by the Vienna Lager style, but fermented with a German Kolsch yeast we just wanted a well made, clean amber ale, with no surprises measuring high on the thirst satisfaction scale.
We’re pretty sure that’s exactly what you get. (and if you don’t get the irony of it being named Mr.Personality, we’ll look forward to your 2 star review on a certain widely used iPhone app that brewers really love to hate ;)
Mild - Other
This beer won’t have the Beerazzi foaming at the mouth, but if you’re looking for a straight up brown ale that won’t club you over the head with alcohol, we think we might have just the thing.
Subtle notes of milk chocolate with just a hint of blackcurrant from the addition of Bramling Cross hops.
Relax, it’s a traditional English Mild
Wheat Beer - Hefeweizen
A riff on the Hefeweizen style, Brassneck “Multiweizen” is made with 5 grains. Rye, Wheat, Barley, Oats & Corn.
We open ferment with a nice authentic hef yeast. The open fermentation allows the yeast to go bonkers, producing all kinds of fruity esters.
The combination of the fruitiness, gentle cinnamon & clove characteristics of the yeast with the natural sweetness & body of the malts, gives this beer a creamy mouth feel & unique complexity.
Altbier - Traditional
Built with almost entirely German ingredients, the best way we could describe this beer is a “Dark Altbier”. (A term which would no doubt have most German purists spitting feathers!).
Not unlike a stout, this beer is black in colour, with a bright white head. But instead of the usual heavy malt character of a stout, “Blacklight” has a light mouth feel, complimented by a pleasing roastiness & balanced with delicate fruit from the German ale yeast.
Pilsner - German
We’ve always wanted to have good quality lagers available at Brassneck. However, due to production restraints & the amount of fermentation time a really great Pilsner deserves, our capabilities to produce this kind of beer have been severely limited. (mostly ’cause you buggers drink the beer so bloody fast!)
This is only the second time we’ve brewed the King Maker, the first time being over a year ago. It’s a special one for us, we hop you like it.
German Pilsner Malts & a healthy dose of Tettnanger hops give this pilsner a distinctly European edge.
Belgian Strong Dark Ale
We’d describe it as an Abbey Style Ale. We use a blend of Chimay & Duvel yeast strains to maximize the Belgian-ee-ness. Then we hurl in some dark candi sugar to twist up the ‘je-ne-sais-quoi’ knob. Tastes good. Drink some.
Wild Ale - American

Pale Ale - American
This is a full flavoured beer integrated with a distinct floral hop which gives it a quality unique to our Pacific Northwest surroundings. This style is evolutionary from a typical IPA with an assertive hop, lower alcohol content, and slight pine aroma.
IPA - American
With slightly more alcohol then average, this master creation showcases bitter-fresh pine with an invigorating offering of pink and orange citrusness.
Bock - Single / Traditional
All over the world, countless equals have united to enjoy a spot of coffee or cheers a pint of beer. Blending the best of both worlds, this co-creative collabo offers authentic taste and quality with zero compromise for either inspired party. Lightly hopped Bock lagers are historically associated with special occasions, so when coffee and beer coalesce locally, every serving becomes momentous.

Belgian Quadrupel
Shelters, engines, noble truths, the elements, colour… whether a strong foundation, a sense of direction, a phase of the moon or by the seasons—by nature and by man, the cardinal number four proves its value. The workhorse behind many of these aspects of life, here we draw a parallel to symbolize a starting point. 33 Acres of Four, our Belgian Quad, has been diligently constructed to form a base. It lures you in by its sweetness and disguises its strength by way of carbonation. To drink patiently, and if repetitively, as its fortitude provides not so subtle grounds for what may come next.
IPA - New England / Hazy
33 and Superflux wanted to answer some IPA questions. How do you get the most complexity, depth and character out of hops, malt and a couple select yeast strains? The blending of ideas, beers and a ton of variables results in an IPA unlike any other.
Schwarzbier
If you’re the type who likes to judge a beer by it’s colour, 33 Acres of Darkness will surely surprise. While most equate heaviness with flavour this Schwarzbier strives to bring tantalizing taste beyond the usual weight.
Belgian Tripel

Micro Brewery
Table Beer
A tafelbier or Belgian session ale, Burnabarian is brewed with oats and lightly spiced with coriander.
Belgian Strong Golden Ale
A complex, medium-dry Belgian blonde ale brewed with a secret blend of spices.
Pale Ale - Belgian
Invented for the Liége exposition of 1905 to compete with British imports, the Spéciale Belge or Belgian pale ale style marries the complexity of Belgium’s beers to the drinkability of Britain’s pale ales. Dageraad Amber’s light malty sweetness and rich bouquet of malt and stone fruit are balanced by a hoppy aroma and a crisp finish. This beer was inspired by the experience of enjoying a fresh bolleke - Antwerp locals’ affectionate nickname for a glass of De Koninck - in the Dageraadplatz, just a stone’s throw from the De Koninck Brewery.
Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche
This is our legendary sour witbier made with passionfruit and dry-hopped with American Citra hops. We’ve taken a smorgasbord of different brewing traditions and violently smashed them together to make this harmonious synthesis. Administer orally.
De Witte is fermented with Belgian yeast and bottle conditioned for natural carbonation, and an extra layer of complexity.
Belgian Blonde
A 6.0% abv hoppy blonde ale hopped with Citra and spiced with grapefruit peel.
Belgian Dubbel

Belgian Dubbel

Belgian Strong Golden Ale

Wheat Beer - Witbier / Blanche
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Life gave us lemons, and we looked on The Bright Side and made lemon beer. The Bright Side is lightly tart, gently hopped with Citra and Styrian Celeia hops and finished with fresh lemon zest and lemon juice to give it a zing and make it the perfect Summer beer.
Belgian Tripel
With an aroma of noble hops and floral alcohol, Antwerpen is a celebration of the city from which Dageraad draws its inspiration. Antwerp is a progressive European city, a gritty port town, a haven of art and architecture, and above all, an excellent place to have a beer.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Jumo is fermented with Voss kveik, a strain of yeast isolated from the fermentation culture of a Norwegian farmhouse brewery. To add to Voss kveik’s distinctively orangey ester, we hopped Jumo with Mandarina Bavaria, and lightly augmented with some spices. And to add the acidity appropriate to citrus fruit, we lightly kettle soured the beer. The result is a tart, dry beer that is startlingly reminiscent of a mimosa.
Belgian Quadrupel
Dageraad 10° is our secular homage to the strong, dark ales brewed by Trappist monks in Belgium. The strength of the wort and the addition of exotic, unrefined sugars has tormented the yeast into producing magnificently complex fruit and spice notes to complement the beer’s malty profundity. Its flavour will develop for up to three years in the bottle if properly stored.
Porter - English
A Canadian take on a Belgian rendition of an English Porter
Dark Ale
Brewed with chocolate malt, caramelized sugar and orange peel, Lekkers smells and tastes like dessert, but it finishes dryer than you'd expect. The slight sweetness is just enough to lure you back for another sip of this deliciously more-ish beer.
Belgian Blonde
Ko Lanta brings the bright, citrusy flavours of a Thai yellow curry to the fruity crispness of a Belgian blonde ale. This beer was originally brewed for our third anniversary, and we crowd-sourced recipe ideas from our entire staff. The resulting beer has citrusy and spicy notes that layer over the yeast esters and blend with subtly herbal hops for a compelling and refreshing drink.
IPA - New England / Hazy
Fruit-forward yet balanced, juicy but with a clean finish, we took everything we learned with the New Slang series and crafted an IPA in true Dageraad fashion - refined, balanced and a little nerdy.
Daybreak is brewed with thiolized yeast, turning out exciting new aromatics and flavours from the Nelson, Sauvin, Sultana, Galaxy and Citra hops.
IPA - Belgian
Belgian-style IPA dry hopped with Amarillo
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Dry-hopped table saison
Bone-dry and heavily dry-hopped with European noble hops, Field Theory is like a walk through a summer meadow. The brightly herbal hop aroma paves the way to the peppery phenols and fruity esters from fermentation with saison yeast. The beer leaves you with a crisp, dry finish and a powerful thirst for another sip.

Sour - Fruited
We started by brewing a light golden sour, with soft honey and lemon notes, which we then layered 150kg of Raspberries on to during primary fermentation. We then conditioned the beer on cold steeped, locally roasted coffee from our friends at Old Crow Coffee Co. This beer is light, refreshing and has a wonderful depth that changes with every drink.

Sour - Fruited
A simple oat and 2-row sour with complex additions of key limes, milk sugar and vanilla. We kept the PH pretty high on the sour base, giving this beer a balanced crushability — it may seem like a crazy profile, but this is no gimmick. ‘Live in the Now’ because we put summer in a glass.

IT TAKES THREE TO TANGO //
Our good friends at @brewculture tipped us off on a brand new hop bursting with tropical goodness and so naturally we needed to try it…and by try it, we mean throw bags and bags of it into a new triple IPA. Tango*, developed by @seitzfarm in Germany, is super dynamic with big notes of mango, pineapple, cassis, and geranium. We combined it with stalwarts Citra and Azacca and laid it on a bed of Canadian Pilsner, Oats, and Spelt to create a beer that is soft, dry, and begs to be known. Right now**, we’re getting big aromas and flavours of Papaya Flesh, Young Mango, Pineapple, Orange Rind, Dankness, Cassis & Geranium.

Sour - Fruited Berliner Weisse
One of our favourite things about the craft beer community is how each region of the world brings its own style to the party, and in Florida, that style is heavily fruited sours. Hot weather demands a light, crushable tropical sour and BC deserves the same. Pilsner - German
Pouring a light copper with a thick white head, this full-bodied Pilsner has a floral aroma accented with notes of lavender and honey. The caramel malts that aide in its robust colour impart a slightly sweet taste that finishes clean with a crisp spicy bitterness.
Lager - Dark
Bread crust, chocolate, nuts and toffee emanate from this Munich Dunkel. With a surprisingly light mouth feel, this unfiltered lager has a dominant malt flavour accented by notes of almonds, toast and a touch of caramel. All which contribute to the well-rounded complexity and depth that this classic German style has to offer.
Blonde / Golden Ale - Other

This West Coast take on the traditional Extra Special Bitter imparts a bright aroma of citrus and grapefruit. A well balanced descent of malt and toffee notes is accompanied by a lasting bitterness that leaves you craving the next sip.

Roggenbier
A distinct aroma of Banana Cream Pie rises from the thick tanned head. Higher carbonation dances on your tongue with notes of clove and banana bread. The rye and wheat create a chewy and malty finish perfect for the colder months ahead.
IPA - American
Made with organic Earl Grey Tea we've been slowly dialing in the level of tea over the years to give this beer (what we think is) the perfect balance of west coast hops, bergamot and a gentle black tea bitterness.
Stout - Coffee
We've teamed up with our friends at Ghost Roasters to create a Cold Brew Coffee Stout. Big chocolate notes and coffee roastiness, finishing super smooth but with enough caffeine kick to keep you up so you can finish Ozark on Netflix.

As the journey continues this medium bodied beer produces a sweet maltiness that is followed by a pleasant note of warm alcohol for a rounded finish. Conditioned for 90 days and coming in at 7.1%.

Juniper berries and northwest hops give this Sahti inspired Ale gin-like notes with a twist of citrus. A complex malt bill of rye, oat and barley malts are followed by a crisp bitterness, not from hops, but from the juniper berries themselves.

Originally brewed by countries bordering the Baltic Sea this Porter was brewed in a city that borders the Fraser River. Fermented with lager yeast and conditioned on licorice the S&O Baltic Porter comes in at a smooth 7.6%.

Subtropic India Pale Ale is like being in a tropical rain forest, picking fruit right off the tree, taking a bite, and then having the clouds open up in a refreshing downpour of juicy goodness.
Farmhouse Ale - Saison
Wild harvested Tasmanian pepper berries and a collection of New Zealand hop varietals contribute notes of fresh cracked pepper, citrus, tropical fruit, lime and lemon zest to this Oceanic inspired Saison. Finishing crisp and dry with a touch of spice.
Wheat Beer - Dunkelweizen
Sour - Other
This kettle soured red lager pours a light amber with notes of peach, apricot and plum followed by a smooth malty backbone and a refreshing tart finish.
Sour - Berliner Weisse
Hard to categorize but easy to drink. This beer was designed for patios and sunny days. A fruity aroma reminiscent of citrus and kiwi blend with a light tartness to give a clean finish and high levels of crushability. A large amount of oat malt contributes a full mouthfeel to this light beer which is balanced by the notes of lemon and lime coming from the carefully selected blend of NW hops and lactobacillus derived tartness.

Märzen
Märzen, which means “March” in German, is a classic German beer style created before the invention of refrigeration. Back then, brewers weren’t able to brew lagers during the summer months – temperatures were too high for the lager yeast to ferment properly. So in March, brewers would stockpile beer which was cellared in cold, dark caves during the summer. In October – when temperatures had cooled, and it was time to brew again – the remaining beer was pulled from the caves and enjoyed by the towns people in a celebration we now call Oktoberfest.
Russell Märzen is copper-coloured lager which rich, toasted malt aroma balanced by the clean bitterness of German Hops and distinct noble hop aroma. Perfect for paring with roasted meats and harvest vegetables.

All the same goodness as our Salted Black Porter, brewed with traditional dutch candies, but with the added depth and rich flavour the comes from being infused with Kentucky bourbon & American oak.

Boiling for hours to concentrate the flavours and sugars, this Imperial Stout also features Tahitian Vanilla beans extracted in house using barrel-aged rum, which provides sweetness and balance to the bitter roasted malt character. Age or drink fresh.
